Welcome to My Mommy Power with Kelli! I know that some of you will remember me starting this blog several years ago. It’s been so long that I can’t remember if it’s been more like 3 years or 5. That’s what having three kids will do to your brain! LOL Anyhoo, I’m glad that you’re here and I’m very happy to re-launch what God gave me a long time ago. That’s the amazing thing about life to me…we have the opportunity to create and re-create ourselves over and over again. It’s the beginning of a new year and I am looking forward to unleashing all that I believe God has given me to share with the world. And I’m so glad you’re here with me!
In this blog, you’ll find a lot. I’ll share practical things like recipe ideas and time-saving hacks I’ve come across. As a wife, mom and educator, I’m always looking for ways to make my life easier, and I don’t mind sharing at all, although I’m no expert. In addition to the practical stuff, I’ll share the not-so-practical stuff too. Being a mom is hard. Whether you’re married or single, it’s hard work, and it comes with sooooo many layers. From simple stuff like making the best and most affordable clothing choices for your kids, to which vitamins are the best, to whether or not your child is having academic difficulties, and everything in between, being a mom is tough work. Let’s not even start dealing with the stresses of trying to be the best mom to your kids and addressing their illnesses and weaknesses. Whew chiiiillleee! I’m tired already! LOL
Being married isn’t easy either. It’s absolutely worth it, but the glory does not come without the story. Ben and I have a pretty incredible love story and you’ll get bits and pieces as we go along. We both have individual stories of overcoming trials and adversities, and then we brought all of our baggage together and created a family. Nobody but God. Juggling being a mom, a wife, and having a demanding full-time job as a school administrator is more than a notion and I get asked about it all the time. How do you do it? What I hear all the time is, “Lord, I’m praying for you, baby. You have a lot on your plate.” That’s actually where “My Mommy Power” came from. It’s my term for how I do what I do.
And then, because I’m a music-lover and singer, you’ll get some of that too! I’m not a professional singer or anything like that, but I sing a lot and I love it. I’ve studied music academically and before I had kids, I sang a WHOLE lot. I’ve promised myself that I would record a CD soon, so I’ll keep you all posted on that process here too. You’ll get to go right along with me! It should be an interesting ride!
Lastly, in the middle of this pandemic, I was led to start a business. I’ll tell you that long story another day, but I’m a Color Street stylist and I love every minute of it. Every. Minute. Of. It. It’s been a real blessing to me and one of my favorite time-saving, money-saving hacks. It has absolutely been one of the best parts of 2020 for me and my family. You’ll hear all about it and the awesome women that are on this journey with me.

The first time I ever saw you, your beauty was captivating. The many years to follow have allowed me the opportunity to experience the beauty that you have on the inside. I’m willing to walk to the end of the world and back to enjoy this journey called life with you. God’s favor on me shines brighter and grows stronger because of you.
Love 💕 Ben
